Caritas Internationalis

Caritas Internationalis is a global catholic beneficial organization, which provides many-sided policy helping poor, needy, orphans, people injured because of natural disasters, alcohol addicts, drug addicts and people with AIDS.
Caritas international family includes 165 offices of the organization that not always contain the word "Caritas" in their title. However, they are equal members of Caritas Internationalis.

All activities of Caritas can be divided into three main branches:

1. Assistance in case of emergency (accidents, technological and natural disasters, etc.);

2. Sustainable development (permanent assistance to the needy in time of peace);

3. Establishment of Peace (Caritas acts as peacemaker in areas where there are interethnic, interracial, interreligious conflicts).

Caritas Europa

Caritas Europa is a center of Caritas Internationalis in Europe, which includes 48 organizations that operate in more than 40 European countries. In general the social orientation of Caritas Europa is the same as in the Caritas Internationalis, but with its own characteristics. Here the work of organization is more directed on fighting poverty, social inequality, and helping migrants, refugees and humanitarian aid in general.

The organization works closely with all member organizations of Caritas and other public or private social organizations.

The most developed members of the Caritas Europa are offices of Caritas in Albania, Austria, England, Belgium, Bulgaria, Holland, Greece, Denmark, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Malta, Norway, Poland, Russia, Slovenia, Hungary, Ukraine, France, Sweden, and Switzerland.
