Action "Christmas Candle"

“Christmas Candle”
Advent has begun. It is a time of expectant waiting for Coming of Christ in a child’s image. It is a special season to bring joy for kids, first of all to those who are devoid of joy. So, on November 27 an annual All-Ukrainian charitable action “Christmas Candle” started. Donations from distribution of candles will be used to support orphans who live in family homes and boarding houses, and also to organize different holiday events for them, such as St Nikolas Day celebration in St Oleksandr Cathedral in Kyiv. Children from our houses are involved in this action too. They do handicrafts for the presents; moreover they donate collected costs to others. The action “Children help children” teaches the youngest to share and to sympathize.
