Caritas-Spes Ukraine

The main objective of these projects is to raise money to support ongoing Caritas-Spes projects and create employment opportunities to people in economically depressed areas throughout Ukraine.

Caritas-Spes operates two carpentries in Oleksandrivka and Kamyanets-Podilskyi and bakeries in Orativ and Pnikut. Caritas-Spes has also apiaries, fish ponds and acreage for agricultural projects.

One of the most profitable projects is the yearly sale of Christmas and Easter candles. Sale proceeds provide financial support for orphans and the elderly respectively. Residents of children’s homes organize activities like “Children Helping Children”, and an art studio in the “Quo Vadis Centre”.
